At this age. repetition is one of the best ways to help kids understand then improve. As a result of this each session ends with colour tapping and/or scoring goals, each session involves the use of a toy and each session has a colour matching/recognition game. As the weeks go by, these Babyballers will show levels of improvement with colour recognition and kicking skills simply through gradual progression of different games week by week. Essential football skills including stopping the ball and big/little kicks take shape at this age also. At such a tender age they are encouraged to share with other kids in the class in order to improve their social & teamwork skills. Watch your child showcase their funndamental football skills in a funn and encouraging environment.
YoungBaller classes at The FunnClubb is the start of competitive play. Children are introduced to playing against each other rather than playing alongside each other. Our wide array of team/individual games encourages this. They become a lot more confident at this age and tend to show strengths in different aspects of football. By using the ball a lot more regularly, allowing many touches, they familiarise themselves with the movement of the ball, dribbling the ball and taking a good touch of the ball. We teach them basic football skills such as stepovers, in and out dribbling, shooting, passing and protecting the ball (shielding). Then encourage them to use these skills that they've learnt in a competitive scenario e.g. matches. Matches are played at the end of each class. This allows us to see where your child's strengths/weaknesses lie. Naturally your child's physical ability improves with age, our goal is to ensure their footballing ability improves alongside.
BigBallers at The FunnClubb are known for their hard work and their attentiveness. We've encouraged this with our very own FunnClubb Reward Charts. These act as an incentive for them to keep improving by listening to coaches. When children finish their reward charts, they are able to trade it in for a FunnClubb Trophy. As you would imagine, games at this age are a lot more competitive and a lot harder. We use "progression" particularly in the main activity by learning the basics first before progressing to the most evolved skills second. They then play a competitive match at the end to put to use the skills they've learnt. This is a sure-fire way of improving these BigBallers footballing capabilities. Every session focuses on a different technique. Whether its passing, shooting, dribbling or defending. You can be confident that their class is structured carefully to challenge them and refine their footballing skills.
