Karen is a neurodevelopmental Physiotherapist with extensive experience, working with children who have movement difficulties associated with neurological conditions.
Karen graduated with a BSc in Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret College Edinburgh in 1989 and gained a MSc from Glasgow Caledonian University Glasgow in 2013. Karen has also completed Bobath training in London. Since completing her MSc, Karen has developed a special interest in Constraint-induced movement Therapy (CIMT), and now teaches a one-day course to other therapists throughout the UK. Karen has recently had a book published by Harrisons training, which offers a practical guide to CIMT.
Karen's love of working in the area of Paediatric Physiotherapy was ignited whilst working in Oxford during her first job at the John Radcliffe. She went on to work in Australia, Glasgow, and also London where she worked for the majority of her career at Queen Mary Hospital for Children as a Clinical Specialist Paediatric Therapist. She currently works at Chelsea and Westminster hospital on a part time basis, which she enjoys hugely.
Karen lives in Wimbledon with her family.
