Jo graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Southampton in 2007. She went on to complete her core rotations at both Junior and Senior level at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. It was during these rotations that she first worked within the speciality of paediatrics and immediately fell in love with it. In 2012, Jo gained a full time Rotational Paediatric Physiotherapy job at Chelsea and Westminster where she remained until 2016. Following this, Jo travelled to South East Asia where she worked as a volunteer physiotherapist for a children's charity in Hoi An, Vietnam. On her return, Jo worked as a Locum Paediatric Physiotherapist around the South East of England before returning to NHS practice in her current roles. At present, Jo works between 2 roles within the NHS. She spends 3 days per week working as a Clinical Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist within the Kent Community Healthcare team in Maidstone and 2 days per week working within the Paediatric Orthopaedic Team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.
Jo has a wealth of experience working with children 0-18 with a variety of conditions including developmental delay, neurological conditions (including cerebral palsy), co-ordination disorders and joint hypermobility. She strives to maintain the highest standards of practice through regular attendance to training including completion of the Early Intervention Bobath training this November.
Jo lives in Tunbridge Wells and is available for appointments in the evenings and weekends.
