We organise our sessions so that the children can choose from, and work at, a range of activities and, in doing so, build up their ability to select and work through a task to its completion.
The children are also helped and encouraged to take part in adult-led small and larger group activities which introduce them to new experiences and help them to gain new skills, as well as helping them to learn to work with others, in a language rich environment.
Outdoor activities contribute to children's health, their physical development, and their knowledge of the world around them. The children have the opportunity, and are encouraged, to take part in outdoor child-chosen and adult-led activities, as well as those provided indoors. We also run Forest School sessions twice a week and try to ensure all children will have the opportunity to attend at least one term of sessions before they leave to go to school.
Additional activities run for 45 minutes every afternoon. These are run by outside agencies for a small fee and are supported by our staff. We offer the children the opportunity to take part in: StagePlus Dance, Kiddleydivey, AMA Soccer, Pre-school Disco and Playball. All these activity sessions are tailored for the ages of the children taking part. Children in receipt of EYPP (Early Years Pupil Premium) will receive up to three of these sessions per week at no cost.
