Here at The Academy, we are passionate about learning and developing the talents, skills and qualities of our pupils. Our vision is focused on doing the very best for young people and their futures.

We are a warm, inclusive, mutually supportive community which prides itself on academic excellence, a strong work ethic and enjoyment of learning. Our family environment provides nurture and support for our young people whilst challenging them to work hard and aim high.

Our aim is to be a world-class independent day school, the best in Scotland and beyond.  This is reflective of my commitment to education, ambition and determination to provide the best for our pupils and those who come after them. Only by learning from others - past, present, at home and abroad – do I believe we can achieve our ambition. It means sector-leading academic, sporting, musical, artistic, cultural and pastoral excellence.  It means empowering young people to enjoy their individuality, caring for and respecting themselves, others and the world around them.

We want all of our pupils to become really passionate about at least one subject and take advantage of the opportunities at The Academy to deepen their learning beyond the classroom. The support we receive from our families and willingness to work in partnership is integral to our pupils’ success.
