We are proud to belong to the family of schools run by Shaw Education Trust. We strive for excellence and put people at the heart of everything we do. We greatly value the contribution that each individual child will make to our growing school and we understand the important role our school will play in shaping the citizens of tomorrow. We aim to create a nurturing and open environment where collaboration enriches experiences.
Our curriculum is carefully planned and well thought out and ensures that our learners leave with the knowledge and social skills required to succeed. We place extra emphasis on ensuring that our children develop confidence, resilience and self-esteem as we believe this is crucial. We take great pride in knowing our learners and the community that we serve well, and we use this knowledge to inform our work.
Through the delivery of a creative, energetic and enriched curriculum, we aim to develop the whole child. We believe that school should be a special, safe and happy place and provide unique experiences that build, interlink and develop knowledge and skills in unison. We strive to be innovative, we look for opportunities to enhance our curriculum, for example, we have an extensive selection of planned school trips and we work closely with local partners to ensure we provide a rich and stimulating experiences.
As a leader I am eager to maintain an inclusive culture based on mutual respect. We embrace all differences and strive to learn from each other. Our values, which link to those of Shaw Education Trust are embedded into everything that we do. We endeavour to break down barriers to learning and ensure that all children reach their potential, with no exceptions. All decisions made have the welfare and aspirations of the children at heart.
Our staff and children are extremely lucky that our building is purpose built and therefore, provides an exemplary and purposeful learning environment. We have some excellent facilities, such as; an outside dining area, a dedicated DT/Food Tech room and access to outside learning areas from every classroom. We are currently developing a bespoke central space called the Learning Resource Centre, which will house a library and flexible community space.
We are expanding chronologically year-on-year up to Year 6, with the aim to increase our capacity to 230 places by 2024. Our provision includes a large Nursery operating from 2-year-olds through to pre-school and a Wraparound care facility available for all learners 7:30am â 6pm. If you are considering whether we are the right school for you and your children, please use our admission page and feel free to get in touch to discuss any questions â we know choosing the right school can be a difficult decision.
