St Gerardâs School is a co-educational independent school for pupils aged 4 to 18.
We have a junior school and senior school with classes from reception all the way up to sixth form study.
The senior school is housed in the original Convent House, together with a purpose-built extension and a recently-built block of additional classrooms located at the rear of the main building.
The junior school is located in a separate building on Convent Lane, adjacent to the senior school, and is purpose-built.
The school benefits from a number of specialist rooms in order to deliver the modern secondary school curriculum effectively.
Academic and pastoral care are important to all staff within the school and its size enables us to keep in close touch with all aspects of the progress of our young people. St Gerardâs prides itself on its broad academic intake; young people of every level of ability find themselves able to make substantial progress. However, the school does not claim to have special needs provision.
The happy, secure environment and effective learning atmosphere are aspects of the school that visitors invariably comment upon and we have been fortunate to have this positive feature highlighted in every inspection. These inspections have also commented on âthe exemplary behaviour of pupilsâ.
