At Nursery on the Hill, rated Outstanding by Ofsted, we provide a 'home from home' learning environment to help children, aged 6 months to 5 years, gain independence and develop their social skills by communicating and sharing with others. Our planning and record-keeping refers to the Early Years Foundation Stage and by close observation and continual assessment, we are able to help your child reach their full potential and prepare them for their future education.
By building on each child's strengths, interests, and curiosities, we guide each child to explore the world around them as well as develop new abilities and form close relationships. We want your child to feel happy and safe with us. To make sure that this is the case, our staff will work with you to decide how to help your child settle into our nursery. Tailor made provisions will satisfy your child's needs in accordance with our own settling in policy.
The nursery also invites external teachers into the setting, so that children can take part each week with specialist Yoga and Music teachers. We follow the areas of Learning and Development identified in in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
