Overview

Our setting in Baildon opened in November 2016. It is set in its own detached building in a quiet, residential area on the edge of scenic Baildon Moor. Children are cared for in two light, spacious rooms by highly-qualified and experienced staff. We have a large outdoor space going right around the building, where children can play in the enormous sandpit, practise their ball skills, grow their own vegetables and even put on small performances on our very own outdoor stage.

We are very fortunate to be so close to beautiful countryside and take the children out of the setting and into the wider environment as often as possible. We have strong links with the local community and particularly enjoy taking the children to visit the elderly residents in our partnership care home. Our Baildon nursery is split into two rooms. Upstairs, our 0-2 year old room (Raindrops) provides a cosy, home from home environment for our youngest children. It is led by a highly-qualified and experienced Under 2s practitioner and works on a ratio of at least one member of staff for every three children.

At around the age of 2 the children move downstairs to our spacious “Rainbows” room. Here, they can experience a wide range of play and learning opportunities, including a cosy home corner, a construction area and a creative area. They also have direct access to our spacious garden.
