Overview
Great and Small Forest School is an Ofsted rated OUTSTANDING (September 2018) outdoor childcare setting based in beautiful private woodland following the highly beneficial Forest School ethos, along with the EYFS, where children have the freedom to play, explore, investigate and learn through child and interest led play and activities scaffolded by highly qualified and experienced practitioners.
Children's unique development and wellbeing are at the heart of their practice and the setting prides itself in its nurturing practice providing interesting, hands on experiences. This encourages children to learn and grow in their own ways, following their own interests and developing their own emotional development into confident, resilient, creative and adventurous little people with a deep respect for themselves, others and the natural world, a thirst for learning and strong character building skills to take with them throughout their lives.
Registrations are available for children age 3 upwards. They accept funded hours and a range of childcare vouchers and schemes. Wraparound care can be provided, subject to availability, at their sister setting Great and Small Kindergarten.
