Based within Wimbledon Chase Primary School, Wimbledon, Acorn Nursery provides high quality day care for children aged two to five. Our operating hours are 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday during Term time, excluding bank and statutory holidays.

Our key priority at all times is the health, safety and wellbeing of the children in our care, their families and our staff. In specific regard to the current pandemic, we have put numerous additional measures in place to make our nursery COVID secure. We will continue to introduce additional measures in line with the latest guidance from the NHS, Public Health Bodies and the government. We also adhere to Wimbledon Chase Primary School's additional measures as appropriate. We understand that learning is a continuous journey through which children build on all the things they have already experienced and come across new and interesting challenges. Every child's learning journey takes a personal path based on their own individual interests, experiences and the curriculum on offer. With this in mind, our environment is prepared to support all areas of learning and development.

Our staff are selected not only for their competence and knowledge of a child's development but also for their passion and commitment. Our team is the key to the success of Acorn Nursery and the children who spend their early years with us. Most of our staff are qualified and all staff are enhanced DBS and reference checked and trained on First Aid and Safeguarding Children.

We are currently registered with Ofsted for up to 29 children from 2 to 5 years. We operate morning, afternoon and all day sessions and children can attend a flexible number of days per week and can start with us at any point after their second birthday.

We are an inclusive and equal opportunities setting and acknowledge that children learn and develop at their own pace. We have experienced and trained staff to meet the needs of children with additional needs.

We encourage healthy eating by providing children with nutritional snacks, vegetables, plenty of fruits, milk and water. We provide snacks morning and afternoon and children staying on for lunch session bring their own packed lunch, which are stored at appropriate temperature and served by our staff.

It is our role not only to assist the development of your children and to collaborate with the children's carers, but also to ensure and work in partnership to encourage Home Learning and that your children are most of all happy and self-motivated learners.
