Location: North Finchley, N12
Salary: £31,275 – £35,904 per annum (dependant on qualification/s and experience)
salary: £24,000 – £26,00 per annum
Hours: 8 hours shifts Monday to Friday
We are seeking an enthusiastic Preschool Early Years Teacher & Nursery Practitioner to join their vibrant team for their private nursery located in North Finchley.
Requirements:
We are looking for a full time, QTS, EYTS, EYPS, or Level 6 early years qualified Teacher to join our nursery.
- Hold either Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), Early Years Practitioner Status (EYPS), or a full and relevant Level 6 Early Years Qualification – essential
- Previous experience working within the Early Years sector
- Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
- Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
- Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
- Have worked in a Senior role before and be able to demonstrate leadership qualities
Key responsibilities:
- Planning and providing a caring and stimulating environment for the children.
- Observing and assessing children’s development and keeping accurate records.
- Working as part of a team.
- Encouraging learning and development, through play and teaching.
- Creating a secure environment, using imagination to help children to learn.
- Working with parents to support their children.
- Enabling children to build their literacy, language and numeracy skills.
- Monitoring progress and planning educational games.
- Putting together activities which will keep the children engaged throughout the day.
- Helping children get ready for the transition into a classroom environment.
- Helping children to become more independent when carrying out daily tasks.
- Creating the right balance between activities and play time.
