Nursery Practitioner

  • Salary £25.00 -£31,000.00 per-annum

VD Recruitment is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Educator / Nursery Practitioner for our client - a well established chain of nurseries in South West London. This is a full time permanent role of 40 hours/ week working between 7.30am to 6.30pm.

Excellent Salary Offered with GBP1000 assured annual Bonus + performance appraisals every 6 months + 32 days paid holidays including bank holidays.

Level 3 qualified - GBP27,000 to GBP31,000+

Locations - Putney SW15 and Wandsworth SW19

We are looking for an experienced and efficient Early Years Practitioner in lovely nursery settings in Putney & Wimbledon. You will assist in providing a safe, secure and stimulating environment for children and collaboratively work with colleagues, parents, carers and other multi professionals. Be committed to safeguarding and create an inclusive environment.

Duties include:

  • Deliver high quality practice
  • Ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care and development for children placed in the Nursery.
  • To work alongside the parents/carers of special needs children to achieve full integration within the Nursery.
  • Liaise with and support parents/carers and other family members.
  • Support co-ordinators such as SENCO, Equal Opportunities in their roles.
  • Attend training and development courses as directed by your Manager or Assessor.
  • Being an excellent role model to the other staff in the Room.
  • Provide a high standard of health and hygiene
  • Act as a key person for a group of children as allocated by the management team, ensuring attachment theories are respected
  • It is every member of staff responsibility to ensure professionalism and confidentiality are adhered to at all times.

Experience , Qualification & Skills Required:

  • Childcare qualified to Level 3
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and an ability to write accurate observations
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS.
