I am 32 weeks pregnant. My friends tell me that I am quite late to book a nursery space for my baby (whom I have yet to deliver). Do we have to book a space that early? I am very confused. Are nursery spaces always full? Even I have no clue about the nurseries around my area. Any suggestions?
Any suggestions for opening a savings account for my baby (Securing his future)

Hi, There are loads of option in UK like for Junia ISA. There are some high risk and some low risk options. It's actually good to speak with some financial advisor or your bank regarding that. Good Luck.

All the major banks in Uk and some private banks offer childrens bank accounts - long term and short term bonds etc. Google all the options, compare them, select a few - have a discussion with them and choose the best one. Every family is looking for something which suits them the best. Hope it will help.
Do you have any toddler-proof Christmas tree ideas?
I am searching for Christmas tree hacks as I have a 16-month-old kid who brings hurricane if left alone for even 10 seconds!!

There can be so many options: - use felt Christmas trees and ornaments - they are lovely. If you are not planning to get that just get one of them to your children anyways. It's fun to play and decorate them - You can use non-breakable ornaments ...don't use glass ornaments/decorations, please. - Christmas trees would be shiny and with lights...trees attract everyone from babies and toddlers...once your tree is ready..create a boundary and try to block the tree for babies or toddlers to reach ( you can try :)) - Keep on reminding the children to be careful near the Christmas tree and enjoy the festive time.

You need to keep a few things in mind: Seating The safest way for an infant to fly is in a rear-facing car seat, which should be buckled in. If your baby weighs between 20-40 lbs, they should also be in a car seat. Babies under 24 months old can usually sit on an adult's lap, but some airlines may have special seats for babies and toddlers. Car seat If you're bringing a car seat, make sure it's FAA-approved for airline travel. You can check the product manual or look for a label that says "This restraint is certified for use in motor vehicles and aircraft". Entertainment You can bring a tablet, books, or a drawing product to keep your baby occupied (depending on the age). You can also try in-flight games. Food and snacks You can usually take food and snacks through security, but avoid anything messy or sticky. Comfort items Bring a pillow or blanket for your baby to use. You can also bring a familiar comforter if your baby is attached to one. Diapers You can try overnight diapers for long travel days. Other essentials Bring travel-sized diaper cream, baby shampoo, body wash, and moisturizer. Flight time If possible, try to fly in the evening to increase the chance of your baby falling asleep.

It has been really hard for me to keep my 4-year-old son engaged. I am looking for some good online learning platforms. It should be creative so that he doesn't feel bored.
May 30 2020
You can get some beautiful resources from nurseriesandschools e-resources page. They are free and easy to download. I use it regularly for my daughter or else there are loads of activity books for 4-year-olds on amazon. You can use those. They all have stickers etc to encourage children.
Any recommendations!
I am about to deliver my baby next month. I want to read some good books on parenting.

Baby's first year a good book or your baby week by week or FIRST-TIME PARENT PB: The honest guide to coping brilliantly and staying sane in your baby's first year. All these books are available online or on amazon/eBay and they all are good books for new parents. Hope it will help.
He will be attending the same mainstream primary school only. I am confused about whether is right for me not to send him to SEN school.

Hello, Have you applied for a special school? or is he getting any extra help in the mainstream? You can ask for extra support from the school if it's written in his EHCP or if it's not written, you can ask from the council. There are many children with down syndrome who attend main stream school in UK. It all depends on the level of support they need. You can speak to the school or maybe create a system where you get all the detailed information about his school time. Good Luck!

For private sessions, babies can start the private nurseries when they are 3 months old. Funded spaces allows them to start the private nursery when they are 9 months old. Children start reception at the age of 4 years old but these days all the schools have their nurseries too. Children can start school nursery from 2 years too but it all depends on the spaces as schools have limited spaces. Thanks,
My son is starting secondary school soon and just out of safety concern, I am searching for a live tracking app that works best and is also less costly. Any suggestions
She wakes us all up around 4-4:30 am. I have tried so many tricks but was unsuccessful.

Please follow the routine. Her sleep pattern would be better with a consistent routine. You can also try calming music and a good bath routine before sleep. It helps.

Hello, I feel there are not many books specially written for children with autism as such (maybe I am wrong) but they can read any book by themselves (if they already know reading) or with adult support. Children learning to read can read stories through picture cue cards or social stories, there are so many free ones and you can download them. I think even N&S e-resources have some. There are some story flash cards also, which you can buy from Amazon or any other online store. You have to combine a few cards to create your own story. It's fun to create those short stories with children. Thanks. Hope it will help.
