We're thrilled to be bringing our much loved Nature Club & Outdoor Play sessions to the beautiful outdoor space at The Old Library - come along with your kids and be part of the club!
What: Outdoor Nature & Play sessions for families, including: Nature Activities & Crafts, Gardening, Mindful Nature Hunts, Stories, Outdoor Play Activities, Bug Spotting and more! We'll enjoy nature and the outdoors together, noticing the wonderful sights and sounds around us.
Where: We'll be using the amazing garden space to the rear of the Old Library. During the week this space is used by Lister Steps nursery, so it's perfect for kids. We have use of an indoor space too, ideal for those times when the weather changes. There's a cafe and toilet facilities in the building.
Why: We are hosting these sessions in partnership with The Old Library as a way to help support the mental health & wellbeing of local children and families. As L13 based organisations, that means a lot to us.
We want to give you and your child an opportunity to enjoy mindful activities in nature and boost your wellbeing through nature-connectedness and connection with each other.
We hope we'll inspire you to continue to use nature for wellbeing, have fun with mindful crafts and introduce some wellbeing activities into your daily life.
Why is this session not free?: For the past year or so we have delivered these sessions for free using funding under our Nature for Wellbeing project. At the moment we do not have funding, but are awaiting the outcome of another bid. In the meantime we are subsidising the sessions ourselves and volunteering time, to keep the cost to families at bare minimum. We know how much people love these sessions.
