This programme is designed for colleagues with responsibilities that are significantly linked to improving pupil/student outcomes through teaching and learning.
Participants will
learn about the uses and limitations of Instructional Coaching as a model for improving teaching practice and habits;
work collaboratively to build their knowledge and expertise in Instructional Coaching itself, as well as ways in which the model can be quality assured, monitored and evaluated; and
be provided with the tools and resources to implement and lead Instructional Coaching in their school.
The programme consists of three 180-minute sessions with an optional in-school follow up.

To learn how to implement instructional coaching so that student outcomes improve incrementally.
To build a shared mental model for the 'why/what/how' of Instructional Coaching.
Session 2 - 11.02.25, 09.30-12.30 - Boardroom, RLT Offices, Gosford Hill School
To learn strategies for leading action step QA so that responses to diagnoses are as effective as possible
Session 3 - 25.02.25, 09.30-12.30 - Boardroom, RLT Offices, Gosford Hill School
To learn how to implement instructional coaching so that deliberate practice and feedback support positive and lasting changes to teacher and student behaviours.
Additional guidance can be provided to evaluate the impact of Instructional Coaching.
This programme is aimed at teachers in all phases with responsibilities that are significantly linked to improving student/pupil outcomes through teaching and learning.
These sessions will be run by Mike Goves, Professional Learning & Development Lead for RLT with input from experienced coaches and leaders.
