Overview

Welcome and Introduction:

• Greetings

• Icebreaker: Quick icebreaker activity to make the children comfortable and to know each other a bit. For example, “Say your name and your favourite colour.”

Theme Introduction and Demonstration

• Theme Reveal: Unveiling the theme of the painting session. It could be something broad and appealing, like “Magical Landscapes” or “Space Adventures.”

• Demonstration: Showing a simple example painting related to the theme and demonstrate basic techniques they’ll use, such as mixing colours, brush handling, and creating simple shapes.

Painting Session:

• Setup: Each child gets their painting station with all necessary materials - canvas, brushes, paints, water cups, and aprons.

• Guided Painting: Starting the painting process, guiding them step-by-step while encouraging creativity. Allow them to interpret the theme in their way.

• Assistance: Offering individual help, ensuring every child feels supported.

Show and Tell:

• Sharing Time: Allowing kids who wish to share their artwork with the group to do so, discussing what they’ve created and the idea behind it.

• Encouragement: Providing positive feedback to each participant, highlighting the uniqueness and creativity of their work.

Wrap-Up and Goodbye:

• Cleanup: Assist children in cleaning their stations and ensuring they’re ready to leave.

• Farewell Gift: Give each child a small goody bag to encourage continued creativity.

• Goodbyes: Warm farewells and thanks to the children for their participation, inviting them to continue painting at home.

Kids to be accompanied by a parent at all times.
