Sit the children in a circle on the floor and explain that they are going to roll the ball on the floor across the circle. Non-verbal children can point to the child they will be rolling the ball to - then name the person they are rolling to and then roll the ball to them.
Extend this activity: Each child in turn rolls the ball around their own body, just above the waist, without dropping it on the floor. Everyone else encourages them!
