Maidenhead Marlins is a competitive swimming club based at Braywick Leisure Center in Maidenhead. The Marlins offer competitive opportunities at Club, Junior League, National League, County, Regional and National Championships.
The club caters for a broad age group of swimmers with the youngest club members being 7 years old, right through to the Masters age groups which start at 18 years plus.
The youngest Entry point to the club is via the swim academy program (starting at age 6),
Older & more accomplished swimmers, are invited to join via an assessment at a trial swim.
The club consists of a number of age and ability graded competitive training squads. In the younger groups the focus is purely on stroke development and teaching the fundamental skills required to prepare the swimmers for competition. As the swimmers progress through the groups the emphasis moves towards competitive performance training including stroke refinement, starts and turns, race planning and speed endurance.
All swimmers are expected to represent the club in competitions when invited.
