Belfast Softball Club was founded in 2007 with two teams, the Smokin' Aces and the Brawlers. The Softball Ulster league was set up in 2008, and both teams have played in the league every year since, winning the league title on 11 occasions in total, including 9 of the last 11 seasons.
In 2022 Belfast Softball Club launced a third team, the Cyclones. With a mixture of experienced and new players the Cyclones won the SU League Division B in their first season.
Softball is an adult mixed sport similar to baseball or rounders. It is an outdoor sport, and is a good way to meet new people and have a bit of fun. If you're interested in having a go, come along to one of our training sessions at our new home in Victoria Park, off the Sydenham Bypass, on Monday and Wednesday at 6:30pm, from April to September.
As well as the SU league, Belfast Softball Club also play in many tournaments throughout the season, in Belfast and throughout Ireland
